We desire to accept motivated students and working people who are interested in present industrial technologies and basic science which support electrical and electronics engineering.
After graduation, students will have awareness of responsibility and aspire to unbridledly contribute to our society from global view.

  Education objective

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering keeps development of electrotechnics, electronics and communications technologies in mind and then aims to make students acquire basic knowledge and creative skills in order to flexibly respond to technology trend. This department has three programs which are the Electronics Program: the Energy Design Program, the Communications Program. They have common education objective by which we aspire to develop basic ideas and skills for application of electronics and electrotechnics and aspire to foster personnel who can proactively lead societies with demonstrating their individuality. In introduction courses at the first year, students learn basic subjects with experiments and practices and touch specialized field. Taking the introduction courses is for experience and acquisition of basic skills in the Electronics Program, the Energy Design Program and the Communications Program, and, at the same time, it is for self aptitude judgment of the education programs. By taking basic subjects and quasi-basic subjects in the second year or later courses, students can acquire basic academic ability for adaptation of diversified electrical and electronics societies. Since these specialized educations are based on the building-up style course, in order to take upper-grade specialized subject, students need to understand basic courses sufficiently.

@Education guidelines for each program

<Electronics Program>
In the rapidly progressing technical society at the 21st century, technologies, which flexibly response to manufacturing by using the view of electrons, atoms and molecules, and form new functional materials and devices, become important. In the Electronics Program, we aim to foster personnel who can cope with progressing electronic technologies and can develop electronics technologies creatively. In concrete form, we treat materials from the view of the nanometer scale science, and generate new materials, new measurement techniques and new device structures, and aspire to create technologies leading the electronics society on the basis of knowledge of the solid state physics and the quantum mechanics. This program systematically teaches scientific basics and background techniques for electronics, and fosters engineers who can exhibit creative skills to cope with rapidly spreading various problems in the society through electronics from global view.

<Energy Design Program>
Establishment of the new network system with fusion between the electrical network supporting science and technology and the rapidly developing information network, and development of various kinds of instruments for control and information with organically working in the new network system are core issues for future manufacturing. The Energy Design Program aims to foster engineers who can exercise design ability for systematic integration of elemental electrical, electronics and information technologies in the network society from view of global energy management. On the basis of this education philosophy, we carefully form the curriculum and perform education systematically and effectively in order for students to acquire steady capability for manufacturing and leading a future.

<Communications Program>
Since development of the information communication technology is very rapid, we must have polyphenic and flexible ideas all of the time by using wide view in order to cope with various and new technological problems in the information communication field. The Communications Program aims to foster communication-technology engineers who can precisely understand technical trends based on firm knowledge in electrical and electronics engineering and can exercise creative and original capability in order to flexibly respond to wide and various problems in the information-communication society from international view. On the basis of this education philosophy, we carefully form the curriculum and perform education systematically and effectively in order for students to acquire basic knowledge for electronics technology with linchpin of communication technology, such as the communication theory, the communication system, digital circuits and electromagnetic waves, and to acquire capability for manufacturing and leading a future through the communication technology.
